Some great reviews

  • I am not exaggerating when I say 'Out of this world'. We arrived on Good Friday for the Easter weekend. Our lodge was ready before checkin time so we were allowed to begin our weekend early. We walked into Ramson Lodge and was overwhelmed by the size of the lodge. It is beautifully decorated and spacious and wowed us from opening the front door. My Fiancé and I had the master room - this was truly outstanding. The bathroom is huge and again decorated lovely. Our friends had the twin room and again was beautifully decorated. The views from the veranda are great and they look over the lake on the hill. The first day was a little cloudy but this didn't dampen our spirits. After unpacking we opened a bottle of Champagne as we were celebrating out recent engagement. We opened the hot tub and in we got. We stayed there for 5 hours! Anyway the the whole weekend was amazing and we are already planning our next visit with our friends. Thank you so much to Marianne as well, she was always at the end of the phone if you needed her. Thanks to Helen as well for taking care of everything prior to going. Many thanks, Claire, Max, Carol & Dave.

  • These lodges are beautifully built with every possible comfort provided – designed with elegance and simplicity with all up to date technology to make the stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible. The area is full of fascinating insights into Tudor history and the lives and inspirations of two of the greatest English artists – Constable and Gainsborough.

  • We stayed here for my husbands 30th birthday absolutely loved it and have already booked with the whole family to come back! Everything you need and more and is finished to the highest of standards and I’m very fussy! Well worth the money.

  • We have just come back from a three night break of pure luxury at Wakes Hall Lodges. Everything is there you could possible want, the lodges are of very high standard, the surrounding are peaceful and having a hot tub was pure heaven.

  • A superb break at Wakes Hall lodges. 2 OAP’s, A Dog. And us (middle aged adults) had a great stay. The Lodges were above our expectation and so many little things had been thought of as well as some superb accommodation. I defy anyone to not have a great time here and such a lovely area to explore. One evening we watched a Barn Owl flying past and she even came within about 10 yards of the lodge which shows what a rural setting you are in.

  • We had such a relaxing and peaceful time here. The lodges are beautiful and have the most amazing outlook of either forest or lake. The lodge was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is such a fantastic bonus. The pictures do not do this place justice, it’s simply stunning and relaxing, peaceful and picturesque.

  • I stayed for the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids, what a fantastic place. So much room and fab facilities. 5 of us stayed the night before and 10 of us got ready the next day, including hairdressers and make up artists, plenty of room! Awesome for photos as well, the lodges are beautiful and scenery just gorgeous.

My new husband and I stayed an extra couple of nights to relax and that we did, everything we needed in one place. The perfect place to stay before and after a wedding.

  • We’re not the sort of people who go back to the same place twice, and searched high and low for something similar for a brief weekend away, but for the price, the proximity to London and having a hot tub, there is nothing comparable

  • It was the perfect escape from the city, and resulted in a decent pub lunch at the end of it too.

  • We went on a number of walks through the many public footpaths in the area too, there were multiple beautiful country walks available right on our doorstep.

  • The lodge looks like it’s been built to very specific high standards as a labour of love. The bed is as comfortable as you could want and the bath and shower are absolutely fantastic, spacious and with a wet floor for convenience.
